Mercedes-Benz is preparing for a mid cycle refresh of its flagship GLS crossover. The luxury SUV, which hasn’t seen a full redesign since 2018, is likely to receive a series of updates to keep it competitive in the high end SUV market.

One of the most notable changes is expected to be a new front end with star shaped headlights and a wider grille. The rear of the vehicle will also be updated with revised taillights and a redesigned bumper.

Inside, the cabin is likely to receive minor tweaks and updates to keep it fresh and modern. The refreshed GLS will be available in both standard and Maybach versions.

The Maybach model, which competes with the Bentley Bentayga and Rolls-Royce Cullinan, is expected to receive even more luxurious features and appointments. The high-performance Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 will also be updated with a new front end and revised styling.

The AMG model is expected to retain its powerful engine and sporty handling characteristics. The upcoming 2026 Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 is set to receive a subtle update, featuring revised exterior styling and potential interior enhancements.

While the core design remains largely unchanged, the rear lighting units will incorporate a new pattern, and the rear bumper will undergo a redesign. The quad exhaust tips will retain their position within the diffuser, and new exterior color options and wheel designs are expected.

Inside the cabin, the dual-screen setup will persist, but the displays and other elements like the air vents, steering wheel, and center console may receive minor updates.

The 4.0L bi-turbo V8 engine is likely to remain unchanged, delivering impressive performance figures. As testing progresses, more details about the 2026 GLS 63 will emerge, but based on these renderings, the aesthetic will remain familiar to fans of the model.
