Hyundai’s Ioniq 5 N, a high-performance electric vehicle, faces a potential challenge due to its relatively high starting price of $66,100. To address this concern and attract more buyers, Hyundai is offering a complimentary home charger or charging credit in the United States.
The charging credit, worth $450, can be utilized at a variety of charging stations across the country, including ChargePoint, Shell Recharger, and EVgo locations. For those who prefer a home charging solution, Hyundai is providing a free ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 EV Charger.
This charger, typically priced at $549, requires professional installation and offers multiple connector options to suit different needs. The charger is available with different power ratings and can be customized to match individual preferences.
Both the home charger and charging credit are exclusively offered through Hyundai Home, a platform that also provides access to home energy advisors. To take advantage of these benefits, customers must redeem them within specified timeframes after purchasing or leasing the Ioniq 5 N. Additionally, Hyundai Home offers guidance and support for home energy efficiency and sustainability.
By offering these incentives, Hyundai aims to make the Ioniq 5 N more accessible and appealing to a wider range of consumers. These complimentary offerings not only reduce the upfront cost of ownership but also provide added convenience and flexibility for charging the vehicle. The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, priced at $66,100, is the most expensive Hyundai currently available in the United States.
It’s a high-performance electric vehicle that requires customers to complete a hardwired installation within 180 days of the purchase or lease inception. Owners and lessees who acquired their Ioniq 5 N before July 16, 2024 have until October 14, 2024 to redeem their vehicles, with the hardwired installation deadline set for January 12, 2025.
With a claimed 641 horsepower and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 3.25 seconds, the Ioniq 5 N is the most powerful and quickest series-production Hyundai to date. This peak power, however, is only achievable with N Grin Boost activated, a mode that provides a brief burst of maximum output. Under normal conditions, the dual motor powertrain delivers 601 horsepower.
To achieve the advertised acceleration time, drivers must engage both N Grin Boost and N Launch Control. The Ioniq 5 N offers a thrilling driving experience with its powerful electric motors and advanced performance features. Its sleek and aerodynamic design complements its impressive performance capabilities.
While the vehicle is relatively well-equipped, there are limited customization options available. The all electric thriller comes in five paint colors, and the destination charge is $1,395 as of September 2024. Performance Blue adds $1,000 to the final price.
