The Bad Boys franchise, which recently saw its latest installment hit theaters, has been a cultural phenomenon since its inception in 1995. While the recent movie may not have reached the heights of the original two films, it still managed to be a commercial success, raking in a substantial profit.

The franchise’s popularity has also led to increased interest in merchandise related to the series. One such item that has gained attention is the iconic Cobra driven by the film’s villain, Antoine Fouchet. This particular car gained notoriety in a thrilling drag race scene at Miami’s Opa Locka airport, where it faced off against Mike Lowrey’s Porsche 911 Turbo.

The scene, though filled with dramatic tension and high speed action, has been criticized for its unrealistic elements, such as Porsche’s miraculous escape through a non existent hole in the airport wall. Originally a Stallion Cobra replica, this particular vehicle was selected for its role in the film due to its unique design and powerful engine.

Painted Midnight Blue for the movie, it was used in the airport chase scene and other action sequences. After its time on set, the car remained in the possession of South Beach Classics, a dealer of collector cars, until now. With a 427ci engine and automatic transmission, the car is equipped with Cragar wheels and a Nardi Torino steering wheel.

Known as “Bad Boy 1,” it comes with extensive documentation, including the original certificate of insurance from Columbia Pictures, verifying its use in the film. While the seller hasn’t disclosed the reserve price, this piece of cinematic history is sure to attract significant interest from collectors and enthusiasts alike.
