Meta’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, has been making efforts to reshape his public persona recently, and it seems like he’s trying everything.
He’s sporting a new haircut, adopting a more laid-back attitude toward his critics, and as revealed in a reply on Instagram, he now drives a supercharged Cadillac.
When Brian Scotto, co-founder of Hoonigan (RIP), asked Zuckerberg what he drove in a relevant post, Zuckerberg responded, “Mostly Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing these days, but sometimes other things.”
However, there’s one crucial detail missing: he didn’t specify whether his Blackwing has a manual transmission or not.
My guess is it’s probably not, but if it turns out to be, I might reconsider the animatronic comparisons the next time I see him on TV.
The Cadillac CT5 Blackwing recently got a refresh, including a new track package, though it’s unlikely that Zuckerberg’s car has either.
Production of the facelifted models, which still pack the same 668-horsepower V-8 as the earlier versions, only began recently.
Additionally, the Precision Package wasn’t announced until late June, and the 2025 CT5 models still aren’t available for configuration on Cadillac’s website.
It’s refreshing to see a tech CEO with a car choice that’s somewhat relatable. Most of them probably drive electric vehicles or have someone else drive for them. There’s nothing wrong with that, of course—it’s just a more predictable option.
So, the next time you’re tempted to call Mark Zuckerberg a cold-blooded reptile, remember that his car might be cooler than yours. Now, all he needs to do is post a reel of himself doing a burnout on the Fourth of July.
