While General Motors holds the title for the heaviest electric vehicle on the US market in 2024, its success isn’t solely reliant on EV sales. Despite leading the sales charts for the past three quarters, the focus hasn’t been on mass market electric cars.

However, GM is building an enthusiast base for its EVs, which include a wide range of models from Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC. This brings us to GMC, a brand that’s been busy with new offerings.

Their Canyon mid-size truck is completely redesigned, along with the Acadia and Terrain SUVs. The Yukon and Yukon XL have also received updates for the 2025 model year.

Following Chevrolet’s recent announcement of the 2025 Silverado EV with an impressive 492-mile range on the WT Max trim, GMC is ready to compete in the luxury electric truck segment with the 2025 Sierra EV Denali.

The GMC Sierra EV Denali is expanding its lineup for the 2025 model year, offering customers more choices and features. The Denali will now be available in two variants: the Extended Range and the Max Range.

Additionally, GMC plans to introduce the Elevation and AT4 models in the first half of 2025, further expanding its options for off-road enthusiasts. The 2025 Sierra EV Denali is available in six colors and starts at an MSRP of $91,995 for the Extended Range and $100,495 for the Max Range.

While the 2025 Sierra EV Denali is both cheaper and more expensive than the 2024 Edition 1, it offers several improvements. The Max Range model now has a longer estimated range of 460 miles and more horsepower at 760 hp.

The Extended Range model is more affordable but has a shorter range of 360 miles. Despite the shorter range, both models are still more competitive than the Tesla Cybertruck in terms of range and price.
