While the US automotive market has seen fluctuations, Ford Motor Company has maintained a strong position, primarily driven by its robust SUV and truck lineup. In the first nine months of the year, the automaker’s sales surged by 2.7%, reaching over 1.548 million units.
This growth can be attributed to the continued popularity of its SUVs and trucks, which together accounted for a significant portion of its total sales. Crossovers and SUVs alone contributed more than 658,000 units to the Ford and Lincoln brands, while trucks surpassed 853,000 units.
In contrast, passenger cars have taken a backseat, with the Ford Mustang remaining the sole survivor. The iconic pony car, however, has still managed to attract a dedicated following, delivering 36,485 units during the same period. This represents a mere 0.5% of the SUVs sold by Ford, highlighting the shift in consumer preferences towards larger, more versatile vehicles.
The Ford GT Heritage Edition, a car with a mere 429 miles on the odometer and virtually blemish-free, is now for sale. The one of a kind owner, who ordered the car with a bespoke blue cockpit and Antimatter Blue graphics, has decided to flip the vehicle.
The dealer’s customer is now offering the car for sale, claiming it is in mint condition. The car is powered by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine mated to a seven speed dual clutch automatic transmission, producing a staggering 660 horsepower.
Additional options include a Heritage steering wheel, silver brake calipers, a titanium tow hook, an exterior carbon fiber package, titanium lug nuts, and a six-point harness. The Ford GT, which had an MSRP of nearly $750,000, is a stunning example of automotive engineering and design.
