Ferrari’s bespoke customization program, Tailor Made, has recently revealed a stunning one of a kind Roma Spider. This extraordinary vehicle is set to be showcased at the Enzo Ferrari Museum as part of the exclusive “One of a Kind” exhibition.
The Roma Spider is a testament to Ferrari’s commitment to innovation and craftsmanship, featuring a myriad of luxurious and personalized elements. One of the most striking features of this Roma Spider is its intricate laser-etched design on the hood.
The coordinates of Ferrari S.p.A. in Maranello, Italy (44°31’55” N and 10°52’10” E) are elegantly inscribed alongside a compass rose. The same laser technology was used to create the shields adorning the front fenders.
Under the hood, this Roma Spider boasts a powerful engine featuring several components made from recycled aluminum. Although Ferrari did not specify which exact components were produced using recycled materials, it’s worth noting that the F154-series engine, which powers the Roma Spider, typically utilizes aluminum alloy for both the cylinder heads and the block.
This engine, renowned for its performance and efficiency, was first introduced in 2013 with the California T. The interior of the Roma Spider is equally impressive, showcasing a blend of luxury and sustainability. The tonneau cover is crafted from chrome-free Nappa leather, while the rear floor is adorned with sustainably sourced wood.
Even the center console is a testament to Ferrari’s commitment to eco-friendliness, as it is made from recycled sand removed from casting processes. To further enhance the luxurious experience, Ferrari collaborated with Montblanc to create a unique wiring instrument featuring a piece of solid gold.
This instrument complements the platinum coated Meisterstuck pen, which boasts the same Oro Mida finish as the Roma Spider’s bodywork. The pen, like the hood of the car, also features a compass motif. Accompanying the pen is a leather-wrapped logbook that incorporates recycled leather in a combination of Rosso Bologna and Pelle Metalizzata Oro Mida.
The logbook’s cover is embossed with the geographical coordinates of Maranello, and even the thread used for the central panel of the seats is made from recycled tires. The Roma Spider Tailor Made is more than just a customization exercise; it showcases Ferrari’s commitment to sustainable luxury.
The automaker is heavily invested in research and development of recycled materials, aligning with its goal of carbon neutrality by 2030. Electric vehicles are a crucial part of this strategy, with the first Ferrari BEV arriving in late 2025.
Test mules have been spotted using body panels from the Roma and Maserati Levante. Maserati’s E-segment SUV is being replaced by the all electric E-UV BEV, launching in 2027. The Quattroporte will also receive an electric makeover on the STLA Large platform in 2028.
The Roma, Ferrari’s entry level model, is powered by a 612 horsepower V8 engine, making it the least powerful regular production Ferrari. In comparison, the SF90 XX boasts a more powerful 786 horsepower V8.
