The Skoda Fabia Rally2, a surprising entry in the subcompact hot hatch segment, is a testament to the enduring appeal of sporty driving experiences. While the traditional RS badge might be absent, this model, developed in collaboration with ABT Sportsline, pays homage to the Spanish Rally Super Championship winner Jose Antonio ‘Cohete’ Suarez.
This unique partnership has resulted in a vehicle that combines the practicality of a supermini with the performance of a hot hatch. Under the hood lies a tuned 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, delivering 187 horsepower and 214 pound-feet of torque.
This power channeled to the front wheels via a DSG automatic transmission, offers a thrilling driving experience, even if it falls slightly short of rivals like the Hyundai i20 N and VW Polo GTI. The Fabia Rally2’s performance enhancements, coupled with its sharp handling and sporty aesthetics, make it a compelling choice for enthusiasts seeking a fun and practical vehicle.
The 2024 Skoda Fabia Rally2 is a limited-edition, road-legal version of the rally car driven by Jose Antonio Suarez and Alberto Iglesias Pin. This special edition boasts a more aggressive stance, thanks to a 15mm lower ride height and 17-inch OZ Racing wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires.
The exterior is further enhanced by a rear spoiler, matte black mudguards, and a striking Mamba Green paint job.
Inside, the cabin features black upholstery, a sports steering wheel with paddle shifters, and a serial numbered plaque signed by Suarez.
Only 100 units of the Fabia Rally2 will be produced, and they will be exclusively available in Spain, starting at €30,900.
