Subaru’s 2025 Impreza, a five-door hatchback, arrives unchanged from its 2024 counterpart, save for a price increase across all trim levels. The base model now starts at $23,495, a $500 premium over the previous year.
The Sport and RS trims also see a similar increase. While Subaru touts the Impreza’s Symmetrical All Wheel Drive (AWD) system, it’s worth noting that the lower end models utilize an Active Torque Split (ATS) system. This system, designed for CVT-equipped Imprezas, distributes engine torque between the front and rear wheels, defaulting to a 60/40 split.
The 2025 Subaru Impreza, a compact sedan, is available in three trims: Base, Sport, and RS. All trims are powered by a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque, mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The Base and Sport trims offer a combined fuel economy of 30 mpg, while the RS achieves 29 mpg.
Standard features on all trims include dual-zone automatic climate control, LED headlights, dual 7.0-inch touchscreens, keyless entry, and 60/40 folding rear seats. The Sport trim adds 18-inch alloy wheels, a sport-tuned suspension, an 11.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, premium cloth upholstery, and a rear-seat armrest.
The RS trim builds upon the Sport with additional features like Automatic Emergency Steering, the All-Weather Package, Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Keep Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, upgraded LED headlights, and unique RS badging.
Optional features for the RS include a 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, a power moonroof, and 10 way power adjustable driver’s seat with power-adjustable lumbar support.
