Brendan Schaub’s custom Ram TRX is turning heads not just for its impressive 1,300 horsepower but for being a functional daily driver. Built with a fully customized motor, this truck stands out in a league of its own, claiming the unofficial title of the fastest daily driver TRX in the world.
Partnering with Chris Baily, who holds the record for the fastest Dodge Demon, Schaub spared no expense in transforming his TRX into a powerhouse. With a Magnuson 2650 supercharger, it hits about 1,280 horsepower, far exceeding the original goal of 1,000 horsepower at the wheels.
The TRX features a striking carbon fiber wide body, major suspension upgrades, and a race transmission, crafted by the experts at Baily’s Performance. Schaub invested roughly $300,000 into this project, which emphasizes both performance and practicality—he even uses the truck to drive his kids to school. Despite its performance-oriented modifications, the interior remains relatively stock, making it family-friendly.
The suspension work was handled by Kibbetech, incorporating King off-road racing shocks, upgraded lower control arms, and 38-inch wheels. Additionally, it boasts a unique side exhaust and is protected by advanced liquid paint protection film (PPF), ensuring the carbon fiber remains in pristine condition.
However, the fuel economy is a significant trade-off, averaging only five to six miles per gallon due to the immense power output, although running on E85 helps slightly. In Schaub’s words, it’s “the fastest truck that a dad can have to get their kids from school,” perfectly blending practicality with extreme performance.
