Ferrari has revealed the F80, the highly anticipated successor to the iconic LaFerrari. This new hypercar marks a departure from the traditional V12 engine, opting instead for a potent V6 hybrid powertrain. Despite the initial online controversy surrounding the V6 engine, the F80 boasts impressive performance figures.
Its 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, coupled with three electric motors, generates a combined output of 1,183 horsepower. This allows the F80 to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in a blistering 2.15 seconds and reach a top speed of 217 mph.
With a dry weight of 3,362 pounds, the F80 offers a thrilling driving experience while maintaining efficiency and environmental consciousness.
Revealed just last week, the Ferrari F80 boasts the title of the brand’s first all-wheel-drive hypercar. While details on fuel efficiency and emissions are still emerging, the inclusion of a small battery pack hints at a limited electric range, but surprisingly no dedicated EV mode.
Production will be capped at 799 units, ensuring exclusivity but not quite reaching the legendary LaFerrari’s rarity (only 500 were made). Interestingly, a German dealer has already listed an F80 for sale on a popular European used car website, even though deliveries aren’t expected until 2025.
This listing, most likely a build slot, boasts a red exterior and black Alcantara interior but offers scant details beyond the standard paddle shifters and warranty.
The eye watering price tag? €5.9 million (roughly $6.3 million), a significant markup over the estimated base price of $3.9 million. So, with a hefty price tag and some question marks surrounding the ad’s legitimacy, would you take the plunge on a Ferrari F80 build slot?
