Chrysler is streamlining its Pacifica minivan lineup for the 2025 model year by cutting down the number of trim levels from five to three, while also standardizing features across both the gas engine and plug-in hybrid versions.

The base model, now known as the Select, replaces the 2024 entry-level Touring trim and incorporates elements from the 2024 Touring L.

This new Select trim is available with either powertrain, as is the top-tier Pinnacle. Meanwhile, the mid-level Limited is exclusively offered with the gas engine.

Powertrain Specs and MPG

The gas engine in the Pacifica is a 3.6-liter V-6 that produces 287 horsepower and 262 pounds-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Front-wheel drive (FWD) comes standard, and all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional on all trims.

While official EPA ratings for the 2025 model aren’t yet published, they are expected to remain the same as the 2024 ratings: with FWD, the gas-powered Pacifica achieves an EPA-estimated 19/28/22 mpg for city/highway/combined, while the AWD version is rated at 17/25/20 mpg.

The plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) Pacificas feature a modified version of the same V-6 engine, tuned for better efficiency and supplemented with two electric motors.

Equipped with a continuously variable automatic transmission and FWD, this setup delivers a total system output of 260 horsepower.

Its 16-kilowatt-hour battery allows the 2024 PHEV Pacifica to drive up to 32 miles on all-electric power, with a combined 30-mpg EPA rating once the gas engine engages.

Safety Features and Trim Levels

The 2025 Chrysler Pacifica comes equipped with a suite of standard safety features, including forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and rear parking sensors with automatic braking.

Additional features on the Select trim include LED front lighting, a power liftgate, power sliding doors, keyless entry and start, remote start, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

The interior is outfitted with synthetic leather upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, Chrysler’s flat-folding second-row Stow ‘n Go bucket seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, six speakers, and second-row window shades.

Infotainment is managed through a 10.1-inch touchscreen offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa integration, and satellite radio.

The PHEV variant includes premium second-row captain’s chairs instead of Stow ‘n Go seats, as the battery pack occupies the underfloor space.

The Limited trim, exclusively available with the gas engine, adds a hands-free power liftgate and a dual-pane panoramic moonroof.

Its interior upgrades include Nappa leather upholstery, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, rear ambient lighting, and third-row window shades.

The Limited also features a built-in navigation system and a 13-speaker Alpine sound system.

The top-tier Pinnacle, available with either the gas-only or plug-in powertrain, comes with hands-free power-sliding doors, an integrated vacuum (in the gas-only model), quilted Nappa leather, a Blu-ray player, and 10.1-inch touchscreens on the back of the front seats with Amazon Fire TV for Auto.

This trim also adds automated parking and a 360-degree camera system. The gas-only Pinnacle features a 19-speaker Harman Kardon stereo, while the PHEV model includes an extra speaker for a total of 20.

Availability and Pricing

The 2025 Chrysler Pacifica will become available for purchase later in 2024, with pricing details to be announced closer to its release.
