Porsche has expanded its Taycan lineup to 13 versions, offering three body styles, all-wheel and rear-wheel drive options, and motors ranging from 402 hp to 1,019 hp. This variety caters to a broad spectrum of customer needs, blending efficiency, luxury, and performance. The addition of the Taycan 4, Taycan GTS, and Taycan GTS Sport Turismo highlights Porsche’s dedication to innovation and electric mobility.
The Taycan models for 2025 incorporate numerous advancements. A new rear-axle motor with up to 107 hp more power, optimized pulse inverters, and next-generation thermal management systems contribute to improved performance and efficiency. Charging capabilities are enhanced, allowing up to 320 kW under ideal conditions, and recuperation during deceleration reaches up to 400 kW. These updates are paired with an expanded list of standard features and the latest Porsche Driver Experience for a more refined ownership experience.
Taycan GTS and Taycan GTS Sport Turismo
The Taycan GTS lineup now includes both a sedan and the Sport Turismo variant, designed for high performance and versatility. With up to 690 hp using overboost, the GTS offers thrilling acceleration. A push-to-pass feature in the standard Sport Chrono package delivers an additional 93 hp for 10 seconds, enhancing the car’s dynamic capabilities. Both GTS models accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and complete a ¼ mile in 11.1 seconds. An Electric Sport Sound profile distinguishes the GTS from other Taycan models, adding a sporty auditory character.
Visually, the GTS models stand out with black and anthracite grey accents, high-gloss black inlays, and exclusive wheel designs in Anthracite Grey. The interiors feature premium Race-Tex materials and smooth black leather. Standard features include Adaptive Sports Seats Plus with 18-way adjustment, a BOSE® Surround Sound System, and the Sport Chrono package. The GTS-specific chassis calibration, optional rear-axle steering, and adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management ensure precise handling and comfort in various driving scenarios.
Taycan 4
The Taycan 4 sports sedan combines the efficiency of the standard Taycan with the practicality of all-wheel drive. Offering up to 429 hp with overboost, its dual motors improve traction and stability compared to the rear-wheel drive version. The Taycan 4 accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and features intelligent decoupling of the front motor to optimize energy efficiency when all-wheel drive isn’t necessary.
The Taycan 4 comes with 19-inch aero wheels, Matrix Design LED headlights, and black brake calipers as standard. Inside, it offers eight-way adjustable comfort seats, partial leather trim, and a 10-speaker Sound Package Plus. Customization options include a two-tone Black/Limestone Beige interior for a tailored, upscale feel. Standard features such as Porsche Traction Management and adaptive air suspension provide a balance of comfort and performance.
Porsche’s pricing reflects the premium quality of its electric range. The Taycan 4 sports sedan starts at $103,300, while the Taycan GTS sedan and GTS Sport Turismo are priced at $147,900 and $149,800, respectively. These prices exclude tax, registration, and delivery fees. The new models will be available for order in late Q1 2025. New exterior colors, including Slate Grey Neo and Purple Sky Metallic, add further customization options. With these additions, Porsche reinforces its position at the forefront of luxury electric vehicles, blending cutting-edge technology, exceptional performance, and sophisticated design.
