Before making a final decision, carefully evaluate your list of potential used cars and reconsider any of these models.
1. Dodge Grand Caravan
Minivans like the Dodge Grand Caravan are often an affordable choice for families needing extra space. However, this vehicle has its downsides.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) reports that the 2020 Grand Caravan’s headlights aren’t very effective.
Additionally, while the minivan is equipped with car seat anchors, they are difficult to locate or buried too deep in the seat to be accessible.
2. Audi Q7
The Audi Q7 may appear to be a high-end SUV, but it comes with some significant issues that might overshadow its luxury appeal.
This model has faced consistent problems with its suspension and brakes. Additionally, drivers have reported issues such as electrical malfunctions and air conditioning problems.
3. Jeep Wrangler

The standard 3.6-liter V-6 produces 285 horsepower and can be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or an optional eight-speed automatic.
The latter comes standard on models equipped with four- and eight-cylinder engines. The powerful 6.4-liter V-8, generating 470 horsepower, is exclusive to the rugged Rubicon 392 Final Edition and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Other available powertrains include a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder delivering 270 horsepower and a 375-horsepower plug-in hybrid 4xe, which is reviewed separately.
Built with off-road capability in mind, Wranglers come equipped with part-time four-wheel drive as standard across most trims, while a full-time system is available on the Sport, Sahara, and Rubicon models and comes standard on the 392.
While handling has seen some improvements, the Wrangler still retains an old-school, truck-like feel compared to modern SUVs and pickups. The four-door version provides a reasonably smooth ride over rough terrain, but the two-door model, with its shorter wheelbase, is more prone to jolting over larger bumps.

The 2025 Mini Cooper offers precise and engaging handling, making every drive an enjoyable experience. Its steering remains well-balanced and appropriately weighted, though some reviewers note that road feedback has been reduced compared to past versions.
On the bright side, this latest Mini delivers a smoother and more comfortable ride than its predecessors. Additionally, it boasts high-performance brakes that provide strong and confident stopping power.
Under the hood, the Mini is equipped with a trio of turbocharged four-cylinder engines sourced from BMW. The standard engine generates 161 horsepower, while the S model ups the output to 201 horsepower, and the high-performance John Cooper Works (JCW) variant delivers an impressive 228 horsepower.
Every Mini model features front-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Unfortunately, a manual transmission is no longer available.
Though the base engine isn’t the most powerful, it delivers adequate performance for everyday commuting.
The S and JCW models, however, inject more excitement, offering a noticeable surge in acceleration when launching from a standstill or picking up speed on the highway. These engines also earn praise for their smooth operation and pleasing exhaust sound.

The 2020 GLE had 11 recalls related to the electrical system software, wiring, and body panels. If you’re considering a model from that year, ensure that those recalls have been addressed before making your purchase.

11. Toyota CH-R
Toyota recently discontinued the CH-R, but you can still find some used models available for purchase.
