Renowned for its adrenaline-pumping performance, the BAC Mono is set to ignite the racing scene with its exclusive one-make race series, dubbed the Mono Cup. Scheduled to kick off its inaugural season next winter, the Mono Cup promises to be the world’s most exhilarating one-make championship, boasting high-octane action on the track.
While final details are underway, the debut season spanning six months from late 2024 to early 2025 will exclusively grace the tracks of the Middle East. Iconic F1 circuits in Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar have already been confirmed as venues.
Brought to life through a collaboration between BAC and its Saudi Arabian division, alongside the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation, the series was unveiled in Riyadh ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
Following the footsteps of luxury brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini, the Mono Cup adopts an “arrive and drive” format, simplifying participation. Entrants pay an entry fee, and BAC manages all aspects, including maintenance, logistics, and hospitality services. Participants must hold an International C Race Licence, as per BAC’s requirements.
A bespoke version of the Mono track car is in the works for the series, offering a performance spectrum bridging GT race cars and formula-style open-wheelers, according to the company.
Powered by a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine producing up to 311 hp, the latest iteration of the Mono boasts a mid-mounted engine paired with a 6-speed sequential transmission, delivering sheer excitement as it propels the rear wheels on the track.
