The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N has been recognized as the 2024 World Performance Car, marking the third consecutive year that Hyundai has claimed this title. This achievement is particularly noteworthy as it is the first Hyundai electric car to receive the prestigious N badge, signifying its impressive performance capabilities.

Built on Hyundai’s Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the Ioniq 5 N features a dual-motor setup producing a combined 641 horsepower. Its 84 kWh battery offers a range of approximately 278 miles and benefits from regenerative braking technology.

While designed for street use, the Ioniq 5 N is engineered to deliver an exhilarating driving experience on the track. Hyundai has even developed a track-only version called the Ioniq 5 N eN1 Cup, which will compete in a dedicated racing class starting this year.

The eN1 Cup racer shares the same powertrain and performance as the road-going model but incorporates enhancements for track performance, such as lightweight body panels and improved aerodynamics. Hyundai aims to usher in a new era of sustainable racing with the eN1 Cup, demonstrating the potential of electric vehicles in motorsport.
