Spy shots of the anticipated 2025 Ford Expedition reveal an intriguing update: a dashboard adorned with a screen spanning from pillar to pillar, reminiscent of the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus. While the display is anticipated to lack touch capability, a smaller screen positioned below will likely control its functions.
Alongside this technological advancement, the Expedition is poised to undergo revisions to its front and rear fascias, although much of the design remains obscured by camouflage. With the current generation launched in 2018 and a mid-cycle refresh arriving in 2022, the 2025 Expedition is primed for a comprehensive overhaul.
While the body may not undergo drastic changes, new front and rear designs are expected. However, the most significant updates lie within, where spy photographers have captured images of a new infotainment setup, seemingly inspired by the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus.
The Nautilus debuted Ford’s Digital Experience infotainment system, showcased across a 48-inch screen spanning the dashboard’s width. While the 2025 Ford Explorer features the new system without the panoramic screen, the Expedition seems poised to adopt a similar setup, with a broad pillar-to-pillar display hinted at in spy photos.
Like the Nautilus, this full-width screen is unlikely to be touch-responsive, with a smaller touchscreen placed below for control.
Fortunately, physical controls for the gear selector and volume seem retained in the Expedition. While exterior updates are concealed by camouflage, notable changes are anticipated in the grille, headlights, and taillights.
The 2025 Expedition is expected to persist with the 380-hp twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6, possibly reaching 400 hp in the Limited model.
Speculation also suggests the potential for added power or a hybrid powertrain akin to the 430-hp system in the 2024 F-150. Rumors hint at the 2025 Ford Expedition’s imminent reveal in the coming months.
