Ford Performance has introduced a new training program called the Ranger Raptor Assault School. This program is similar to other driver training programs organized by Ford Performance across the country. It was initially developed for the F-150 Raptor and was held at the Ford Performance Racing School in Utah’s Tooele Valley. Now, the Ranger Raptor, Ford’s latest pickup truck, joins in on the off-road action.
The Ranger Raptor Assault School is a one-day event led by professional instructors. It begins with a 45-minute classroom session followed by about seven hours of practical training on an outdoor course.
During this time, new owners of the 400-horsepower Ranger Raptor will learn about the truck’s capabilities in various terrains such as rock-crawling, side hilling, climbing and descending, and high-speed Baja runs.
The instructors will also cover important techniques like maneuvering and braking. Participants will be educated on the principles of Tread Lightly, which emphasizes leaving the scene undisturbed, and will have the opportunity to watch instructors demonstrate advanced driving techniques.
To participate, owners simply need to sign up and attend the scheduled event. While transportation and lodging are not included, meals will be provided. Owners of the 2024 or 2025 Ranger Raptor are eligible to attend the school at no cost within one year of their truck’s delivery date.
They can also nominate a family member who is at least 16 years old to attend in their place, including grandchildren, in-laws, and step-children. Alternatively, owners can purchase a slot for a driving guest for $1,495 or a slot for a non-driving guest for $50. Registration is currently open, and the courses are set to begin in June.
The Ranger Raptor Assault School offers owners an opportunity to enhance their off-road driving skills and explore the full potential of their new pickup truck in a controlled environment.
