Adrian Newey has decided to leave Red Bull, which many people had been talking about for a while. People are now wondering where he will go next if he wants to stay in Formula 1.

Newey is from Britain. He started working with Red Bull in 2006 after winning championships with Williams and McLaren. He played a big part in helping Red Bull go from being in the middle of the pack in Formula 1 to being one of the top teams.

This year, he will keep working as the chief technical officer at Red Bull. He’s also finishing up his work on the RB17 hypercar project.

Pierre Gasly, a former Red Bull driver, called Newey a “unique genius.” Gasly said the best part of his time at Red Bull was getting to work with Newey. He said Newey is very talented and successful, and he remembers seeing Newey draw things on a board and being impressed.

Alex Albon replaced Gasly at Red Bull in 2019. He worked with Newey in 2020 as a race driver and then as a reserve driver the next year. Albon said it was inspiring to work with Newey. They worked closely together in 2021, especially because Albon helped with simulators at Red Bull’s base in Milton Keynes.

Daniel Ricciardo, who drove for Red Bull from 2014 to 2018 and then again as a reserve driver in 2023, said it was a privilege to drive cars that Newey had helped design. Ricciardo said it could be intimidating to see Newey’s drawing board in the office because Newey is so smart. But Ricciardo also said Newey loves racing and is a fan of motorsport just like everyone else.

It was exciting for Ricciardo to work with Newey, and he wishes him well for the future.
