The team based in Hinwil, Sauber, hasn’t scored any points this season. They seem to be in the middle of the pack, with some teams doing better and others worse. Haas and RB have managed to get into the top 10.
Even though Zhou Guanyu and Valtteri Bottas have shown some good driving, they’ve had problems during pit stops. This is because of the new equipment they started using this season. Sometimes, the wheel nuts get stuck or don’t go on properly, and this slows them down when they change tires. This happened at the Australian Grand Prix and again in Miami, where they got a fine for a wheel nut that came off.
Bottas said the team apologized for the issues and they’re working hard to fix them. He said, “We’re all in this together. I was disappointed, but the whole team was disappointed because these things shouldn’t happen. So, we’re definitely taking it seriously and it is a priority now to get that sorted.”
In Miami, the team didn’t have good performance, even though they didn’t have any problems in the pits. Zhou tried to attack after a safety car period but couldn’t catch up with the other cars. The team’s manager, Alunni Bravi, said they need to do better. He said they tried different strategies and tire choices, but it didn’t work.
They’re planning to make important upgrades for the next race in Imola. They’re going to fix the problems they’ve been having with pit stops and also make other improvements to the car. They hope these upgrades will help them score points in the next few races.
