Aston Martin made some big changes to their car for the Imola race, like redesigning the floor, front wing, and diffuser. Fernando Alonso tested these changes during practice, and Lance Stroll used them in later sessions.

But even with these upgrades, Aston Martin struggled to keep up with other teams. Alonso had a crash during practice, which caused a lot of damage. The team worked hard to fix the car, but he still had problems during qualifying and ended up in 18th place. Stroll didn’t do much better, qualifying in 13th place, but he managed to earn two points in the race.

Aston Martin’s performance director, Krack, said that despite the upgrades, the car is still difficult to drive. They had a few accidents during the weekend, which affected their performance. They tried different setups to make the car easier to drive but didn’t get the results they wanted.

Stroll mentioned that the upgrades they brought to Imola weren’t enough to keep up with their competitors. Aston Martin is falling behind the top teams and needs to improve quickly.

Krack said they’re not satisfied with just two points. Every team is bringing upgrades, so the competition is tough. They need to keep working hard and bring more improvements to the car. They hope to do better in the next races, like Monaco and Montreal.
