The F1 racing teams are thinking about their drivers for the next season. Haas, an American team, has become more attractive to drivers because of their recent good results. They have one spot available for a driver next year because Nico Hulkenberg is leaving for Sauber/Audi.
Kevin Magnussen’s future with the team is uncertain because he hasn’t performed well this season. Haas is considering their options, and one of the top choices is Esteban Ocon from Alpine. Pierre Gasly, also from Alpine, might be wanted by other teams too. Alpine needs to keep an eye on their drivers because the season has been tough for them.
Michael Schumacher, who used to drive for Haas and now races for Alpine in Hypercar, is being considered as an option. Even though he hasn’t done well in the top 10 in endurance races, his performance has impressed Alpine’s team principal Famin. Famin praised Schumacher for his positive attitude and teamwork.
Famin said, “Mick is doing a great job in endurance racing. He has a great attitude. He’s not just fast, he’s also very helpful and cooperative with his teammates. He’s eager to learn and has a great team spirit.”
Famin also mentioned that Schumacher is just one of many options for 2025. Several drivers have reached out to Alpine for future opportunities, including Valtteri Bottas.
Famin clarified that having a French driver is not a top priority for Alpine. They are open to drivers from any background and nationality. The team wants to take their time before making any decisions about their drivers for the next season.
