The Schumacher family was upset about the fake interview and decided to take the magazine to court in Germany

The magazine called Die Aktuelle caused a big problem when it published a story saying it had the first interview with Schumacher since his skiing accident in 2013.

The magazine put quotes in the article that were made by a computer and not by Schumacher himself. They didn’t ask the family for permission to do this.

Because of the upset the story caused, the magazine’s boss, Anne Hoffmann, was taken out of her job. Then, the magazine said sorry.

The person in charge of Funke, Bianca Pohlmann, said, “This bad and wrong article should not have been published. It’s not what we expect from good journalism at Funke.”

They made a decision quickly. Anne Hoffmann, who was the boss of Die Aktuelle for a long time, was removed from her job.

The Schumacher family was upset about this and decided to take the magazine to court in Germany. Now, the case has been settled.

People say the magazine will have to pay the Schumacher family 200,000 euros for what happened.

Schumacher’s family has been keeping everything about his health secret since he had the accident. He’s still getting better at home in Switzerland and hasn’t been seen in public since then. Only the people closest to the family are in touch with them.

The only time people got to know about the Schumacher family’s life was in a Netflix show called “Schumacher.” It came out in 2021 and had interviews with his wife Corinna and son Mick.

Corinna said in the show, “We live together at home. We do therapy. We do everything we can to make Michael better and to make sure he’s comfortable, and to simply make him feel our family, our bond. We’re trying to carry on as a family, the way Michael liked it and still does. And we are getting on with our lives.”
