Verstappen had a tough weekend in Monaco. He finished sixth in the race, while his teammate Sergio Perez crashed on the first lap.

Even before Monaco, Red Bull faced challenges. In Imola, Verstappen had to work hard to improve the car’s handling between practice and qualifying. He barely managed to stay ahead of Lando Norris from McLaren in the race.

In Miami and Melbourne too, Red Bull didn’t feel as comfortable as before.

In Monaco, the car struggled with bumps and kerbs on the track. This problem has been there since last year, but Red Bull could compensate for it because their car was generally strong. But now, they can’t fix it, which worries Verstappen.

Verstappen said, “It’s a big problem, and we don’t understand it yet. We’ll try hard to fix it, but I don’t know if we can do it this year.”

With Ferrari and McLaren improving, Red Bull can’t afford to have bad weekends anymore. Tracks like Singapore, where they struggled last year, will be tough for them.

The next race is in Canada, another bumpy track. Verstappen knows it won’t be easy, but he hopes they can figure out what’s wrong with the car by then.

He also thinks tracks like Barcelona, where bumps are less of a problem, will suit their car better. But they still need to work on improving the car overall.
