Max Verstappen of Red Bull secured his eighth victory of the 2024 F1 season at the Brazilian Grand Prix held at the Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo. Despite starting from 17th on the grid, Verstappen demonstrated his skill and determination, marking his first win since the Spanish Grand Prix on June 23. This victory significantly enhances his chances of clinching a fourth consecutive World Championship title, as he continues to lead the standings by a considerable margin.

In an impressive performance, Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly from the Alpine team finished in second and third place, respectively, marking their best results of the season. George Russell, driving for Mercedes, finished fourth after leading in the early stages of the race, while Charles Leclerc of Ferrari rounded out the top five. Polesitter Lando Norris had a challenging race and ended up in sixth place for McLaren, followed by Yuki Tsunoda in seventh for VCARB.

Completing the top ten were Oscar Piastri, Liam Lawson, and Lewis Hamilton, with Hamilton finishing in tenth place despite a tough race. Notably, Sergio Perez from Red Bull placed 11th after a competitive run. Several drivers encountered difficulties, with Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) and Franco Colapinto (Williams) unable to finish, and Nico Hulkenberg (Haas) being disqualified.
