Season 5, launching for free in November, takes the party to a whole new island: Maui! Explore 214 miles (345 km) of diverse terrain, including 142 miles (229 km) of paved roads and 118 miles (190 km) of off-road adventures.
Buckle up for a return to Japanese car culture with “Made in Japan Volume 2” and the high-stakes competition of Street Rivalry.
The biggest news? November brings “The Chase Squad,” a premium PvE mode where you switch sides and become the cop. Based on the trailer, chase down rogue racers in police vehicles, with gameplay reminiscent of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit or Burnout Paradise.
Gear up for more high-octane action! Ubisoft is hosting a special The Crew showcase this September, offering a deeper look into the upcoming Chase and Takedown mode for The Crew Motorfest.
While the game boasts a fun arcade racing experience, its launch on Steam has been bumpy. Current player numbers sit at just over 400, with a peak of under 1200 two months ago. This might be due to mixed reviews, with some fans upset about the end of the original The Crew (2014).
Will year two content turn the tide on Steam? Time will tell. In the meantime, there’s a free 5-hour demo available for those curious to try it before they buy it.
Motorfest is also included in the Ubisoft+ Premium subscription service for PC and Xbox (priced at $18 per month), offering access to upcoming titles like Star Wars Outlaws (August 30th) and Assassin’s Creed Shadows (November 15th).
