If you’ve been thinking about getting a Kia EV9 crossover, now might be a good time because Kia is offering some really good lease deals on this family car. According to Inside EVs, Kia USA is giving a 24-month lease deal on the Light Long Range RWD trim for $399 a month with $3,949 due when signing.
This means you’d pay about $564 each month for one of the best electric SUVs available, making it a good way to try out an electric vehicle. We’ve been seeing a lot of lease deals lately because the market keeps changing, and Kia often has great offers.
The Light Long Range trim isn’t the most powerful, as it only has one motor with 201 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque on the rear axle. But it comes with a big 99.8 kWh battery that lets you go up to 304 miles on a single charge. Charging at home with a 240-volt setup takes about 9 hours to go from 0% to 100%, but if you can find a 350kW DC fast charger, it can take as little as 20 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%.
Since this is a lease, it includes a $7,500 EV tax credit. But if you want to buy the car, you might qualify for up to $9,000 in cash on many of the EV9 models. There are lease deals available for the higher models too, but none are as good as this one.
The EV9 is Kia’s biggest and most powerful electric model, but if you don’t need that much space, Kia has other electric cars too. They recently introduced the tiny EV3 crossover, which is smaller than the EV6 and similar in size to the Niro EV.
If you’re interested in performance, you might want to check out the EV6 GT. And if you want performance for the whole family, you might want to wait for the EV9 GT, which is expected to have over 600 horsepower and will be available in early 2025.
