Rolls-Royce has been captured testing a prototype of the refreshed Ghost sedan, hinting at upcoming enhancements to the luxury model. This update is anticipated to represent a mid-cycle refresh for the current Ghost, which made its debut in the 2021 model year.

Enthusiasts can anticipate the refreshed iteration, typically labeled as Series II cars by Rolls-Royce, to hit the market as a 2026 model. With this timeline in mind, a debut sometime in 2025 appears probable.

The exterior changes appear striking, especially by Rolls-Royce’s meticulous standards. Notable updates include a redesigned front end featuring headlights with altered shapes compared to the current model.

While the grille maintains its design from the current iteration, the front fascia boasts a fresh appearance, drawing inspiration from Rolls-Royce’s recent Droptail coach-built specials.

Moving to the rear, the taillights retain their overall shape but showcase a new light signature. Instead of the current horizontal elements, two vertical elements are introduced, with one serving as the turn signal.

Given Rolls-Royce’s tendency not to revise powertrains during mid-cycle refreshes and the brand’s commitment to transitioning to full-electric propulsion by 2030, updates to the current twin-turbocharged 6.8-liter V-12 engine in the Ghost are unlikely.

The existing powertrain, delivering 563 hp, continues to offer ample performance for the luxury cruiser segment. While interior details remain undisclosed, potential changes, including updates to the infotainment system, are within the realm of possibility.

Before the refreshed Ghost’s debut, Rolls-Royce is anticipated to unveil an updated version of the Cullinan SUV. Prototypes for the SUV have also been sighted during testing.
