At the 2024 Chinese Grand Prix, Mercedes-AMG revealed the 2025 GT 63 S E, a high-performance sportscar packed with hybrid technology inspired by Formula One.
Engine and Electric Motor Integration
With a rear-mounted 201hp electric motor complementing the 4.0-liter V8 engine, the GT 63 S E boasts a combined output of 805 hp and 1,047 lb-ft of torque. The electric motor powers the rear wheels and assists in slip detection, working seamlessly with the front-mounted engine.
A 400-volt lithium-ion battery powers the electric motor, equipped with a direct cooling system to maintain optimal performance. Additionally, the car features a 3.7kW AC charger for convenient plug-in hybrid functionality.
Active aero elements, including an adjustable underbody panel and extending rear spoiler, optimize downforce and stability at high speeds. The active suspension system ensures flat cornering with active roll stabilization and rear axle steering for agility and stability.
The interior offers power-adjustable sport seats and optional AMG performance seats for added stability during high-speed driving. Customers can choose from various upholstery options, including single or two-tone Nappa leather, with further customization available through the MANUFAKTUR program.
