Mercedes-Benz has made some small changes to the C-Class and GLC-Class, two of their popular vehicles. They now come in new paint colors and offer more options for the interior. The GLC can now be painted in Verde Silver Metallic, which was previously only available for the S-Class.
If you’re concerned about the environment, you’ll be happy to know that both models offer a leather-free cabin option. Mercedes-Benz is responding to the growing demand for alternatives to leather. Most of the updates are related to the MBUX infotainment system.
Customers can now add various third-party apps to the MBUX system for things like gaming, video streaming, and travel planning. The system has been redesigned to make it easier to use, with icons that look like smartphone apps. It also uses artificial intelligence to improve convenience features, like adjusting the seat heating automatically.
You can now create custom templates for different situations, like “Cold Days” or “Date Night,” which change the interior settings and lighting accordingly. The MBUX Entertainment Package Plus includes features like music and video streaming, internet radio, and data packages from third-party providers.
The GLC SUV and Coupe now have a digital key, so you can lock, unlock, and start the engine using your digital device. You can even share the digital key with up to 16 people.
Both the C-Class and GLC are still relatively new, so it’s interesting to see Mercedes making updates already. We might see more changes in the future, especially for the C-Class, which could get a bigger update in 2025 or 2026.
