MotoGP made big plans for 2027. They want to change the engines to 850cc and make aerodynamics smaller. When things change a lot in racing, it usually shakes up who’s winning. People are watching to see if Honda can do better with these new rules. They’ve had a tough start in 2024.

Marini, a rider for Honda, thinks it’s too early to worry about the 2027 rules. He says they need to focus on the present and learn as much as they can now. Honda’s performance this year was unexpected, but Marini is still positive about working with them.

He said, “This new project that Honda wanted to provide at the beginning of the season didn’t work, and nobody expected. So, now we are rebuilding everything a little bit, following our feedback, and we need a little bit of time to take that highway to the top.”

Marini and Johann Zarco have contracts beyond 2024, but Joan Mir, another rider for Honda, is still thinking about what he wants to do. He has options but hasn’t made up his mind yet. Mir needs more time to figure out his future in MotoGP.
