Bagnaia didn’t have a good start in the MotoGP race at Le Mans. Even though he qualified second, he dropped to 14th place after the first lap because his motorcycle didn’t perform well.
During the race, he had to leave the track because his bike wasn’t working right. He went back to the garage, and his team couldn’t fix the problem, so he had to retire from the race.
He had some problems earlier in the day during qualifying. He crashed, so he had to use a different motorcycle for the race. But his team still doesn’t know what went wrong with the second bike.
Bagnaia said he felt something was wrong with the bike even before the race started. He had a hard time controlling it during the race, and eventually, it became too dangerous to keep riding.
Because of his retirement, Jorge Martin, another rider, won the race easily. Bagnaia’s retirement means he’s now behind in the championship by 29 points.
Bagnaia thinks the problems he had on Saturday were because of his crash during qualifying. He says they need to do better in the future to score more points and have a chance at winning the championship again.
