Martin was in top form during the MotoGP sprint race at Le Mans. He had set a new record in the qualifying session and started the sprint race from the pole position. Martin led every lap of the 13-lap race, securing his 12th career sprint victory. With this win, he now leads the championship by 28 points.
Marc Marquez, who started from 13th on the grid, managed to climb up to second place after a strong performance. He finished behind Martin, securing the second spot. Maverick Vinales finished third, holding off Enea Bastianini in a close battle for the podium.
Unfortunately, Pecco Bagnaia, another Ducati rider, didn’t have a good race. He struggled right from the start, dropping to 14th place after the first lap. Things got worse for him as he eventually had to retire from the race due to a crash.
Martin faced some pressure from Marco Bezzecchi early in the race, but he managed to maintain his lead. Marquez also made a strong comeback, securing the second position after Bezzecchi crashed out.
In the end, Martin crossed the finish line with a comfortable lead of over 2 seconds ahead of Marquez. Vinales finished third, with Bastianini close behind in fourth place.
Despite some challenges, Pedro Acosta finished sixth, earning the top spot among KTM riders. Fabio Quartararo, the home favorite, could only manage a 10th place finish on his struggling Yamaha.
It was an eventful race with some riders facing crashes and others making impressive comebacks. Martin’s dominant performance secured him another victory and extended his lead in the championship standings.
