Pramac’s owner, Paolo Campinoti, listened to Yamaha’s offer because they also wanted to be Ducati’s top team. But now, Ducati wants to spend less money on riders. This makes it hard for Pramac to keep their current agreement with Ducati.
But now, there’s a new twist. Marc Marquez, a famous rider, might join Pramac. He’s been doing really well on a Ducati motorcycle, even though it’s not the newest model. He says he wants to stay with Ducati next year and have the best bike available.
Ducati likes Marquez and wants to give him a good bike. But they also need to keep their current champion, Francesco Bagnaia, and another rider, Jorge Martin. So, they have to choose carefully because they only have enough money for two top riders.
Martin also wants to stay with Ducati, but only if he gets to be in the main team. If not, he might go to another motorcycle company, KTM.
Yamaha, on the other hand, is in a tough spot. They lost their satellite team in 2022 and want to have one again. But Pramac might not agree to work with them. If Pramac says no, Yamaha will have a hard time finding another team to work with.
