Bagnaia led the way in the Italian MotoGP race, starting from fifth place due to a penalty. He quickly moved up to second and then grabbed the lead. He set a fast pace and maintained his lead to the finish line, winning by 0.8s over his teammate Bastianini. Championship leader Martin finished third.
Bagnaia made a great start, moving from fifth to second place at the beginning of the race. Then, he overtook Martin to take the lead. He kept his lead despite pressure from Martin.
Martin tried to catch up to Bagnaia, but couldn’t quite make it. Bastianini made a late push, passing Martin at the last corner to finish second.
Marquez battled with Bastianini for much of the race. He eventually passed him but couldn’t hold onto third place as Bastianini reclaimed it.
Acosta finished fifth, followed by Morbidelli and Di Giannantonio. Vinales, despite starting at the front, ended up in eighth place.
The top 10 was rounded out by Alex Marquez and Brad Binder. Espargaro finished 11th, while Fernandez and Oliveira came in 12th and 14th respectively.
Bezzecchi finished between the two Trackhouse riders, with Rins taking the final championship point.
Quartararo had a disappointing race, finishing 18th. Nakagami, Mir, and Fernandez were the only riders to retire from the race.
