At the beginning of the 11-lap race, the Ducati riders quickly moved to the front, with Bagnaia taking the lead from his teammate Bastianini. Binder from KTM also made a strong start, moving up to fourth place. Marquez slipped to fifth.

On the third lap, Bastianini tried to regain his second position from Martin but went too wide at Turn 1. As he tried to come back on track, Martin’s bike hit him, sending Bastianini off into the gravel. The incident was looked into, but both riders were found not at fault.

With Bastianini out, Martin had some room to breathe, but Marquez was soon closing in on him. By lap five, Marquez managed to pass Martin and secure second place.

At this point, Bagnaia was leading by 1.3 seconds, seemingly comfortably ahead. But Marquez started to close the gap, bringing it down to half a second with four laps remaining.

However, Bagnaia maintained his lead and crossed the finish line first, ending his run of poor Saturday performances in 2024.

Acosta, riding for GasGas Tech3, finished third after Martin crashed out on lap eight, marking his second significant mistake of the season.

Morbidelli had his best result of the year in fourth place, while Vinales finished fifth on his Aprilia.

Binder finished sixth, followed by Di Giannantonio in seventh on his VR46 Aprilia. Marquez and Espargaro finished eighth and ninth respectively, with Fernandez completing the top 10.

Further back, Miller and Bezzecchi finished 11th and 12th, while Rins recovered to 13th after a poor start.

Pol Espargaro finished 14th in his wildcard outing for KTM, while Zarco was the only Honda rider to finish in the top 15 after Mir crashed out.

Quartararo retired from the race after Oliveira’s crash in front of him on lap two. Despite his crash, Martin still leads the championship but now only by 27 points over Bagnaia.
