Austin Hill is a really good driver in NASCAR. He has won eight races in the Xfinity Series in the last three years. In 2023, he did well and finished fifth in the championship. Before that, he raced in the Truck Series, where he also won eight races.

Austin has been part of the RCR team’s Xfinity Series program since 2022. He has raced in the Cup Series six times before. His first race was in 2022 at Michigan. He drove for RCR. His best result so far was in 2023 at the Daytona race. He came in 14th place driving for Beard Motorsports.

For his Cup Series races this year, Austin will have support from United Rentals. He will drive the No. 33 Chevrolet Camaro. His first race will be next weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. This will be the first time since last summer’s race at the Indy RC that RCR has entered a third Cup car. At that race, Supercars champ Brodie Kostecki drove the No. 33.

Austin Hill said in a statement from the team, “United Rentals has supported me through all the important moments of my racing career. So, it’s really special to have them involved in my upcoming NASCAR Cup Series races for Richard Childress Racing.”

“I’m happy to get another chance to race in the Cup Series for RCR. We’ve had a lot of success together in the Xfinity Series, so I’m excited about these races. It’s not going to be easy racing against the best drivers on Sundays. But I’m grateful to Richard, everyone at RCR, and United Rentals for making these Cup Series races possible. Racing a Next Gen Chevrolet at a mile-and-a-half track will be a new challenge, but I’m looking forward to it.”
