Briscoe is going into the race this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama feeling good. He’s had two top-10 finishes in a row, including coming in sixth last weekend at Texas, which was his best result of the season so far.

These past two weeks have been strong for Briscoe. Even though he got caught up in a crash early in the final stage at Texas, he managed to finish in the top 10 in both stages. Because of his recent performances, he’s now 12th in the series standings, which is the highest among all four Stewart-Haas Racing drivers. This has boosted his confidence for the races ahead.

Speaking about his performance at Texas, Briscoe said, “I feel like our win is right around the corner. We just have to clean up a little bit of stuff.”

Talladega is a track where Briscoe and Ford have a good chance of winning. Over the years, Ford has done well there, winning 32 Cup races, including at least one in 11 of the last 12 seasons.

Briscoe has had a solid record at Talladega too. In his six Cup starts there, he has finished outside the top 15 only once. His average finish of 14.8 is one of the best among current full-time series drivers.

Talking about the possibility of winning at Talladega, Briscoe said, “Getting a Mustang in Victory Lane at Talladega would be super cool.”

This season has been important for Briscoe’s NASCAR career. Despite a slow start, which included new teammates at SHR Josh Berry and Noah Gragson, Briscoe feels positive about the teamwork at Stewart-Haas Racing. He believes they’re working together better than ever before.

Looking ahead to the Talladega race, Briscoe emphasized the importance of sticking to the plan. At Talladega, things can change quickly, so having a strategy is crucial. Despite the unpredictable nature of the race, Briscoe is aiming for a solid finish, knowing that even a top-15 result would be a good outcome considering the challenges of the track.
