Since Keselowski joined Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing as a part-owner and full-time driver nearly three seasons ago, there have been many changes. The team has improved its facilities and performance on the track. But Keselowski hadn’t won a race since April 2021, when he drove for Roger Penske’s team.
After many races without a win, Keselowski finally got his victory at Darlington Raceway. His teammate, Chris Buescher, and Tyler Reddick, collided while racing for the lead. Keselowski, who was running third, moved into the lead when Reddick and Buescher had to pit because of flat tires.
Keselowski held off Ty Gibbs to win in the No. 6 Ford, giving RFK Racing its first victory at Darlington since 2006. Keselowski was thrilled with the win, saying, “It’s been a heck of a ride.” He acknowledged the challenges the team faced but said they kept getting stronger.
Before Keselowski joined RFK Racing, team owner Jack Roush had a successful history in NASCAR. However, the team has faced tough times recently. Now, with two full-time teams, RFK Racing is competitive and on track to have both drivers in the playoffs for the second consecutive season.
Keselowski sees his win as leaving a mark on the sport. He’s proud of his career at Penske but views his win with RFK Racing as another important chapter. He’s also proud to help young people in the sport.
Keselowski hopes for more victories in the future, saying, “I hope I’ve got a lot more pages to write.” He’s thrilled to add meaningful pages to his racing career and is looking forward to what’s next.
