The organization has joined forces with Amerivet Securities, a company owned by veterans. They described Amerivet Securities as a top broker-dealer owned by veterans with disabilities. On Sunday, Ty Dillon will drive the No. 50 Chevrolet Camaro.
Dillon is making his third start in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. He previously raced for Kaulig Racing. Dillon has driven in 240 Cup races, with two top-fives and seven top-tens. His best finish was third place at Talladega in 2020.
This weekend will be Dillon’s seventh time racing in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. His highest finish came in 2022, when he finished 13th.
He has driven the Next Gen car for two years but was released from Spire Motorsports after the 2023 season. Dillon now races full-time in the NASCAR Truck Series for Rackley W.A.R. and is currently in 19th place in the regular season standings.
“I’m excited to race in the Cup Series again,” said Dillon. “The Coke 600 is always special, and I’m eager to seize this opportunity and help build this program for the future.”
The new ownership team includes Mercedes Elias, a retired U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Rebecca Auchmoody, a first-grade school teacher, Michael Naidrich, co-CEO of AmeriVet Securities, and William Auchmoody, a former co-owner of TMT Racing.
Floyd Mayweather, a professional boxer who was previously a co-owner of the team, is no longer part of the ownership group.
“We’re thrilled to return to the NASCAR Cup Series, especially at the Coca-Cola 600, which is a perfect event for our team’s rebranding,” said team co-owner Rebecca Auchmoody. “Ty Dillon’s experience and our team’s dedication set us up for a promising start. We’re here to compete and make our mark.”
Team AmeriVet will also be hosting two Gold Star Families for Memorial Day Weekend at Charlotte.
