Buescher didn’t lead during the All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway, but he performed well when it counted most, near the end of the race when the $1 million prize was at stake.

Due to rain, the heat races were canceled, so Buescher started fifth in the main event. In the first 50 laps, he moved up to second place behind the eventual winner, Joey Logano.

After some pit strategies shuffled him back, Buescher’s No. 17 RFK Racing Ford performed excellently during the long run towards the end of the race. He managed to catch up to Kyle Larson and secured third place, his best finish in the event.

“I’m really proud of our team,” he said. “We had a tough time during practice on Friday, but they worked hard to improve our car for the race. I’m proud to bring our car home third.”

Despite not winning, Buescher felt confident during the race. He was competitive with Logano but struggled to pass Larson quickly enough to catch the leaders.

Before the All-Star weekend, Buescher had two strong races, nearly winning at Kansas and Darlington. Although he didn’t win, his consistency showed the potential for success.

Looking ahead to the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Buescher is excited. He performed well there last year, leading laps and winning a stage. He believes the team’s recent momentum will carry into the upcoming race.

“I’m pumped for it,” Buescher said. “Charlotte was good for us last year, and our team has been performing consistently. I wanted to finish higher in the All-Star Race, but I’m proud of our performance, and I’m excited for the 600 next weekend.”
