Logano kept his lead position after all 10 cars took to the track in the last minute on Saturday

In Saturday’s final round of qualifying, Logano kept his lead position after all 10 cars took to the track in the last minute. His lap at 97.771 mph secured his third pole of the 2024 season and 31st of his career.

This marks his second time leading the field at the 1.99-mile road course. Logano expressed pride in his team’s performance, mentioning their adjustments overnight. Reddick came in second fastest, with Logano’s teammate Blaney in third.

Logano’s journey to the pole wasn’t easy. Larson, his teammate, encountered trouble, going off course and damaging his car. Despite this, Logano maintained his lead.

Elliott, Larson’s teammate, performed well in the final minute of the session, earning the top spot in his group. Other drivers who advanced to the final round included Bowman and Chastain. Some notable drivers, like Truex Jr. and Waters, faced challenges and failed to move on.

Reddick also excelled in the first round of qualifying, securing the top spot with a speed of 97.450 mph. He expressed his hope to claim the pole this year.

Logano closely followed in second place, with Byron in third. The top drivers from this round advanced to compete in the final round, while others, like Brown and Buescher, faced disappointment. Despite some incidents, drivers like Berry and Grala managed to continue without major issues.
