The 2024 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship featured an exciting event at San Diego, showcasing the prowess of elite riders in the 450SX category. The results from the 450SX race, along with combined qualifying results after two sessions, provided an overview of the competitive landscape.

In the 450SX race, Ken Roczen dominated with a time of 10:51.773, riding his Suzuki RM-Z450. Eli Tomac, hailing from Cortez, CO, secured the second position on his Yamaha YZ450F, trailing Roczen by a mere 0.196 seconds. Chase Sexton, representing KTM, claimed the third spot with a time of 11:05.936.

The top performers in the 450SX race also included Jason Anderson (Kawasaki KX450SR) in fourth place and Dylan Ferrandis (Honda CRF450R) in fifth place. Notably, the competition was fierce, with minimal time intervals differentiating the riders.

The combined qualifying results revealed Roczen’s consistent excellence, securing the best lap time of 52.027 seconds. The German rider showcased his skill and determination on the track. Eli Tomac closely followed, demonstrating precision and speed with a lap time of 52.223 seconds. Chase Sexton, aboard his KTM 450 SX-F, displayed his prowess with a lap time of 52.307 seconds, securing the third spot in qualifying.
