Mercedes-Benz AMG A45 S Limited Edition Unveiled with Unique Features

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class hatchback is nearing the end of its current generation and won’t be continued into the next iteration. However, there’s still an opportunity to purchase the current model, including its flagship AMG A45 S version.

This year, the folks from Affalterbach are introducing a “Limited Edition” trim with a unique array of visual enhancements.

Making its debut on any compact Mercedes, the AMG Green Hell Magno paint boasts a matte finish reminiscent of the striking shade seen on the 2016 AMG GT R.

This attention-grabbing green tone is complemented by contrasting yellow accents that extend to the wheels. Adding to the aesthetic flair are black body graphics, prominently featuring a sizable AMG logo on the hood.

For the European market, the AMG A45 S Limited Edition comes generously equipped with approximately $15,000 worth of options as standard. It includes both the AMG Night Package I and II, featuring various dark accents, along with the AMG Aerodynamics Package, which is complete with a prominent rear wing.

Exclusive to this model are the 19-inch forged wheels sporting a seven-twin-spoke design and a predominantly matte black appearance.

Continuing the black and yellow theme, the interior boasts “45 S” logos on the headrests and floor mats. Additional features include AMG-branded side sills, aluminum trim elements, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, and synthetic leather upholstery.

Like its standard counterpart, the Limited Edition AMG A45 S is equipped with a fully variable all-wheel-drive system and houses the world’s most powerful four-cylinder engine in a production car. The turbocharged 2.0-liter engine delivers an impressive 416 horsepower, enabling a 0 to 62 mph sprint in just 3.9 seconds.

This engine is also featured in the new C63, where it’s longitudinally mounted (M139I) and generates an even higher output of 469 hp—surpassing even the performance of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X 2.0 MR FQ-440, which boasted 440 hp. Mercedes has committed to retaining the four-cylinder C63 due to its “progressive” nature.
