RM Sotheby’s has unveiled a preview of a 2017 Lamborghini Centenario LP770-4 Coupe ahead of its UAE event scheduled for the weekend of March 8th and 9th. The auction, set to take place at the Concrete venue in Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz district, marks the company’s inaugural Dubai auction.
The event promises a showcase of some of the rarest and most remarkable automobiles ever produced.
Alongside the Lamborghini, notable lots include one of only three Koenigsegg Agera RSRs ever manufactured, a Ferrari 812 Competizione, and a Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale, each representing the pinnacle of their respective categories.
However, it’s the exceptional Lamborghini that commands attention first. Resembling the Sesto Elemento, this example features a matte finish with striking red accents on the exterior and scarlet upholstery within.
Like its predecessor, the Centenario boasts pristine carbon fiber bodywork, evident from its minimal mileage of just 112 kilometers (approximately 70 miles). Remarkably, the car seems scarcely driven since delivery despite offering a formidable 759 horsepower from its 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, akin to the Aventador SVJ.
Noteworthy features include rear-axle steering, a pioneering addition from Sant’Agata, and an infotainment display that serves as both a data logger and lap timer, embodying Lamborghini’s cutting-edge technology.
Originally registered in Germany, potential Dubai-based buyers should anticipate canceling the temporary import license and settling significant import duties.
With an estimated auction price between $2,000,000 and $2,500,000, the Centenario surpasses its 2016 list price of approximately $1.9 million, reflecting its status as one of Lamborghini’s finest and rarest special editions.
With only 20 coupes and 20 roadsters ever produced, each Centenario is inherently unique, further enhancing its allure to collectors worldwide.
