The mainstream Euro tuners are known for their bold designs, and while Manhart is not the most extreme, their take on the BMW XM, named “Thor,” is certainly noteworthy. Starting with a full carbon fiber body kit, the standout feature is a hood with “GTR air vents” designed for engine cooling, accentuating the SUV’s kidney grilles.

Surrounding the grilles is a two-piece frame, with additional enhancements including front air duct covers and a prominent front spoiler, further enhancing the XM’s presence. As per Manhart’s tradition, the BMW badge has been replaced with the tuner’s emblem.

Moving to the rear, carbon mirror caps complement side skirt extensions measuring over 6.5 feet, leading the eye to the rear where a roof spoiler, trunk lid spoiler, new diffuser, and faux vent accents are added. Notably, a carbon heckblende, featuring the XM logo centrally placed, corrects the stock badge’s off-center positioning.

Manhart also plans to introduce carbon trim for the exhaust tips and “additional add-ons for the rear bumper” soon. Customers have the option to choose between regular twill weave or forged carbon for each item, with optional gold accents, a signature of Manhart’s design.

While wheel and suspension upgrades are also available, production has not yet commenced as depicted in the renders. However, pre-production slots for the Thor Carbon Package are currently being offered at a 12% discount.

Other tuners like Mansory and Larte Design offer their interpretations of the XM, and there have been kits from Renegade Design as well. However, Manhart’s rendition may arguably be the most appealing. Personal preferences aside, whether to invest in an XM remains a question to Think about.
