Lucid has recently announced the availability of the Stealth appearance package for the entry-level Air Pure, adding a darker aesthetic to the luxury electric sedan.
Enthusiasts of the brand may already be familiar with this package, as it is offered in the Lucid Air Touring model, while the top-of-the-line Air Sapphire comes standard with the dark theme.
Those interested in adding the Pure Stealth appearance package to their purchase will need to invest an additional $1,750 on top of the $69,900 base price.
So, what does this extra $1,750 provide?
The Pure Stealth appearance package swaps out chrome accents with black trim, including on the base of the c-pillars, side mirrors, the horizontal bar at the hood’s end, and lower sections around the vehicle.
Additionally, the package includes a set of 20-inch blacked-out wheels, one inch larger than the standard set. Consequently, the estimated EPA rating decreases from 419 miles to 394 miles.
The Lucid Air Pure is equipped with an 88 kWh battery pack, powering the rear-mounted electric motor capable of producing 430 horsepower. Lucid claims the EV can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.
One of the appealing aspects of the Pure Stealth appearance package is its compatibility with various exterior color finishes. It can be paired with Stellar White Metallic or Infinite Black Metallic at no extra cost.
However, an additional $800 is required for the Cosmos Silver Metallic, Quantum Gray Metallic, Zenith Red Metallic, and Fathom Blue Metallic options. The Stealth packages are priced at $1,750 for the Lucid Air Touring and Grand Touring models, with starting prices of $77,900 and $109,900, respectively.
As for the top-tier Air Sapphire, it comes with a staggering price tag of $249,000, roughly double the cost of a Model S Plaid.
Lucid isn’t the sole automaker offering such appearance packages. Ford, for instance, introduced the Platinum Black package for the F-150 Lightning EV in limited numbers. Tesla also offers a black Cybertruck option for $6,000.
