TAP Air Portugal has unveiled plans to add ten more weekly flights linking Lisbon to various airports in North America. These additional routes and frequencies are scheduled to commence this summer, expanding TAP’s operations to over 75 weekly routes between Portugal and the United States, five more than last summer.
The airline will increase its service to Canada, offering 20 weekly flights, five more than the previous summer.
TAP currently operates ten weekly flights between Lisbon and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). However, it will now increase this frequency to two flights per day. The first flight, TP-0231, departs Lisbon at 15:05 local time, arriving in DC at 18:25. The second flight, TP-0233, departs Lisbon at 17:25, arriving in DC at 20:45.
Return flights from Washington DC to Lisbon operate as TP-0232 and TP-0234. TP-0232 departs Washington DC at 17:35, arriving in Lisbon the next day at 06:05, while TP-0234 departs Washington DC at 22:25, arriving in Lisbon the next morning at 10:40. This flight will be operated on an Airbus A321LR.
Additionally, TAP will increase its flights to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) from Lisbon to six flights weekly. Departing Lisbon at 09:15 local time, flight TP-0237 arrives in SFO at 15:15. The return flight, TP-0238, departs SFO at 17:40 local time, arriving in Lisbon the next day at 11:35, operated by an Airbus A330neo.
New Flights to Canada
TAP will add four more flights to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) from Lisbon, totaling fourteen weekly flights. The first daily flight, TP-0257, departs Lisbon at 10:55 and arrives in Toronto at 14:10 local time. The second flight, TP-0261, departs Lisbon at 17:45 and reaches Toronto at 21:00 local time.
Return flights TP-0258 and TP-0262 depart Toronto at 17:40 and 23:00 local time, respectively, arriving in Lisbon the following day. These flights will be operated using Airbus A321LRs.
Moreover, TAP will introduce a sixth weekly flight between Lisbon and Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL). Departing Lisbon at 18:25, flight TP-0253 arrives in Montreal at 21:10 local time. The return flight, TP-0254, departs Montreal at 22:45 local time, arriving in Lisbon the following day around 10:30, also operated by an Airbus A321LR.
