After his impressive debut at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Ollie Bearman is contemplating his prospects for a potential second Formula 1 race weekend, this time at the Australian Grand Prix in two weeks.
Emerging as the third youngest driver in F1 history during his stint with Ferrari in Jeddah, the British driver secured a commendable seventh place. Displaying confidence from the outset, he showcased his potential for a future spot on the grid.
While uncertain about his participation in Melbourne, Bearman, currently a Formula 2 driver, expressed pride in his performance. In an interview with Sky Sports, he acknowledged that the decision lies beyond his control, emphasizing his respect for Carlos and his recovery.
Bearman acknowledged that if Carlos feels fit, he would rightfully reclaim his spot for Melbourne, as it’s ultimately his car and his championship.
Should Bearman not get the call-up for Melbourne, his focus will shift to vying for the Formula 2 championship with Prema, despite the team’s challenges adapting to the new technical regulations.
