Following rumors of a potential suspension from the Red Bull team, Helmut Marko, the team’s advisor, has addressed the situation after a meeting in Saudi Arabia.
During the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix weekend, Marko revealed to Austrian TV his scheduled meeting with Red Bull GmbH managing director Oliver Mintzlaff concerning his position within the team amid swirling suspension speculations.
Three-time world champion Max Verstappen stood behind the 80-year-old advisor, asserting his possible departure would impact his decision to stay with the Milton Keynes-based outfit.
The pivotal meeting with Mintzlaff occurred on Saturday morning before the race at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. Reflecting on the discussion with the managing director, Marko conveyed positivity, stating their agreement on all fronts.
Having been an integral part of the Formula 1 team since its inception in 2005, Marko expressed his determination to continue in his role. While emphasizing the necessity for team tranquility, Marko affirmed his commitment to Red Bull, underlining the three-year contract in place and the imperative for stability amid ongoing challenges.
